I am once again honored and excited to be involved with Tri-Merit Group and HB Publishing to bring you the second iteration of the Accountants Annual Professional Satisfaction Survey.
We learned a lot last year from this anonymous but impactful survey of accounting professionals, who shared with us what work life was really like for them. From hours worked to the type of work they do and any support they receive, or not, from their colleagues and firm leadership, the survey gave us a real look at how burnout happens and, more importantly, how working as an accounting professional could possibly improve.
It all starts with being honest and asking the right questions. Ultimately we want to get to why accountants are leaving firms and the profession as a whole. And maybe, just maybe, firm leaders could listen, and work life can indeed improve over time so we can retain the talent that’s here and make tax and accounting a more attractive profession to join.
We made a few adjustments from last year’s survey; we eliminated some redundant questions and asked a few more direct ones, while making it shorter overall and easier to follow along.
Please take 5 minutes (or less) out of your day to take the survey if you care about making improvements in this great profession and moving towards one that is sustainable and offers true life-work balance.
All participants will receive an advanced copy of this year’s survey, and we plan to share top-line results at the upcoming Bridging the Gap conference, hosted by Tri-Merit Group, July 22-24 in Denver.
Thank you for your consideration!
